Joining the Farm Innovation Network is free. There’s no cost to sign up, attend webinars, or receive updates.

Webinars are held regularly throughout the year and cover a range of innovations and farming topics.

We assess each innovation for viability, scientific credibility, relevance to current on-farm challenges, and overall value to farmers. Shortlisted solutions are invited to present to our farmer network.

Yes. If selected, your product will be trialled by real farmers in real-world conditions.

You’ll get direct insights from farmers who use your tech—what works, what doesn’t, and what needs improvement. This helps you refine your product before scaling.

Absolutely. You’ll have access to case studies, farmer testimonials, and trial results that help build credibility and support your go-to-market strategy.

Trial timeframes vary depending on the nature of the solution, but most run between a few weeks to several months, with ongoing feedback loops built in.

There may be a fee or in-kind commitment depending on the level of support required (e.g. custom trial design, data collection, reporting). We’ll discuss this with you up front.

You’ll have access to expert advice, farmer connections, data insights, and marketing support to help you get the most out of your trial and engagement.

Not necessarily. While our core farmer network is based in New Zealand, we welcome international innovators—especially if your solution can be trialled or adapted to local conditions.
